Adding Worker Skills

In Trades Assist you can add labour bands and qualifications to your workers to make it easy to select the right worker for the job. If the band or qualification doesn’t already exist, you have the ability to add it in.

This article will show you how to add a new band or qualification using Master Data in the Admin Console.

Tip: Make your Bands generic with descriptions that indicate the specialisation and experience of your workers, like Apprentice Plumber or Senior Electrician.

Add a new Band or Qualification

  1. Click mceclip0.png from the Side Menu
  2. Click mceclip1.png from the tabs at the top

  1. Click mceclip2.png to add a new labour band or skill

  1. Type the name of the labour band/qualification into the name box, then use the drop-down menu under mceclip5.png to choose whether it is a Band or a Qualification. For example, ‘Senior Electrician’ assigned to ‘Band’ or ‘Heavy vehicle license’ assigned to ‘qualification’.

Tip: Identify what licenses and certificates your team holds by using the qualifications settings, for example Working at Heights or Working within Confined Spaces.

  1. Click mceclip3.png to save your Labour Bands and Qualifications. These will now appear listed under the Skills tab available to edit, update and assign to workers.
